I hate to admit it, but even I’ve been duped into registering with a company that sells my email address. That’s why I love services like Mailinator, which gives you a temporary email address to use for your registration. Mailinator lets you create new inboxes on the fly, just by putting a keyword in front of @mailinator.com (or any of its hundreds of domains).
Mail for an address, use it to register for something, then return to the sites if you need to click on an additional link to complete the registration. Depending on the service you use, your email will be good for a few minutes or a little longer if you need it.
