Beth tool logos folderIf you haven’t taken a close look at your regular old Adobe Reader (or you keep avoiding the updates), you are missing out in a big way. Reader XI, released in the fall of 2012, contains capabilities that can change the way you work with PDFs. You can now add notes to documents, cross out and replace text, fill out forms, apply your own signature with a click, and track changes from multiple editors. You can even send up to five documents a month out for signature, complete with tracking, notifications and other fancy features.

I may be jumping to conclusions here, but I believe Adobe added these rich features because the competition has become so aggressive. It had to offer more goodies so we wouldn’t go looking for other readers and services.

Adobe Reader XI made Beth’s Top Office Software list!
