‘Tis the season to thank your clients and colleagues for a wonderful year. Sure, you could send a card signed by the whole office, but perhaps this is the year you put a little tech into the holiday season.
I’m organizing a fun lunch-and-learn in DC on Dec. 17 that will focus on super cool tools to send holiday greetings for associations. Here are a few of my favorite things:
- Fiverr
Fiverr’s collection of holiday images, videos and songs will make your toes tingle. This guy did this awesome Minion greeting for me in about a day. For five bucks. Yeah. Awesome.
- Canva
Oh how I love Canva, the easy graphic-creation tool that makes you look like you know how to use PhotoShop. This week they released a series of pre-made holiday cards that are ready for personalizing. Many of them are free, and the ones that aren’t — are just a buck.
- PicMonkey
Like Canva, PicMonkey lets you quickly create or edit images, and they’ve got a robust collection of holiday tools to put the spirit of the season into any picture.
- JibJab
Last year’s holiday card from Nerdy Headquarters was brought to you by JibJab, a mildly disturbing animation site that takes heads and puts them on the bodies of animated characters. The only problem is you have to buy a year’s membership to make them, but it only costs $18.
- Felt
This brand-new iOS app seems like a great way to send a very special holiday greeting. You can upload your favorite photos, write personal notes and add holiday effects. Felt assembles them into a cool accordian-style card. For between $3 and $7, they’ll print and send it to your recipient. I have ordered one of these, but I haven’t actually seen it yet. If it sucks, I’ll let you know.
YOUR TURN! How are you making your yearly greeting special this year?
