Microsoft Office Lens: The Office tool we’ve been waiting for

Oooh. Oooh. Oooh. I think I have stumbled across THE app that will transform my phone from a content access tool to a true work tool.

Microsoft Office has released a series of apps that have the look, feel and most importantly, the functionality of the desktop suites. And a new app (new to Android and iOS at least), Office Lens, really ties things together for me to increase the capabilities to a whole new level.

Office Lens is a free, simple scanning tool that lets you snap a picture of a document and immediately edit in Microsoft Word. No hassle. No fuss. Just snap, process, upload and edit. You can also turn the scan into a PDF or send it to other programs.

You should really take a look at this review. And then you should watch this to see other scanners in action. (PS — The Android version is actually in preview mode, but you can find it here.)
