There’s got to be a better way! Apple vs. PC?

Help a Nerd Out! This week’s question gets straight to the point. “I have a very simple question for the nerd community: Apple or PC?”

Come on, guys… you know you have a passionate opinion!

There's Got to Be a Better WayLee B. I have a love/hate relationship with MAC. I REALLY wanted to switch over at work, but our predominantly PC culture made it almost impossible. I had to run parallels to be able to do my job! Outlook was a nightmare for viewing multiple calendars (I’m an Exec. Asst.) Finally “gifted” that puppy to a co-worker who doesn’t have the same issue I deal with. So – back to PC for me. But, I DO have an iPhone!

Tami S. Like Joelle, I only know PC. Too lazy to try something new. For me, if it works, don’t fix it.

Joelle A. I have a PC… Never tried Mac.

Bonnie Jo D. I have a Mac running Windows with VMWare.

Eileen B. Apple all the way!

Pamela K. PC! cut my teeth on it and still love it!

Limitless. We moved everything to Apple to many issues with our PC’s! So far more efficient work time and zero downtime.

Stephanie D. PC

It’s an age old debate! We have both at Nerdy HQ.  Until next week, nerds!

  • For me, it depends on software availability. I cannot get used to Mac’s ‘equivalents’ of Office, so I’ve got to have a PC. I have a Macbook, but haven’t touched it in a year, I bet, since Creative Cloud came along and all my photo processing is also now on the PC.

  • My “daily driver” is a MacBook Pro, with VMWare Fusion to run any windows apps I need (like Quickbooks – the Mac version isn’t full enough featured. Yet).

  • Once you go Mac, you never go back.

I’m a MacBook Pro girl all the way, and I use mine just as easily for spreadsheets as I do for graphic design.

Also, all my stuff is everywhere. On my laptop, my iPad, and my iPhone.
