There’s Got to Be a Better Way! Road Trip Apps

Help a Nerd Out! This week Terry E. is looking for help with some summer fun…

“Beth, we’re taking some road trips this summer. I’m looking for good travel guides, music guides, road trip guides, etc. What are people using?”There's Got to Be a Better Way

Andrea M.: Whenever I go anywhere, I check out Lonely Planet. If I’m going to be in a place for a few days, I take a look at the meetup groups in the area to see if there is anything interesting.

Tom K.: I might suggest TripAdvisor, Yelp, and as Andrea mentions, MeetUp. I use all three but unfortunately don’t have the occasion to travel as much as I like.

Martha G.: Roadtrippers app and website are great! Very user friendly and you can pick and choose what you want to see along the way (hotels, gas stops, historical sites, shopping, restaurants, natural landmarks, etc.)

Geralyn W.: I check out convention & visitors bureau sites, Groupons, state and national park sites, and GPSmyCity for walking tours.
