Today I wanted to show y’all how to use Google’s new Try It On ai feature, and I’m still in my PJs, so I didn’t want to make a walkthrough video. But I still felt like the new tool needed step-by-step instructions, so I used one of my favorite secret tech weapons: Scribe.

Scribe records your onscreen clicks and movements to help you create a walkthrough of any process in minutes.

Just install the browser extension, press the button and let the tool record every click, scroll, popup and button you use to perform the task.

I. Love. This. Tool.

We use it here at Nerd HQ to create training guides for our interns and assistants. That way when we onboard a new person, they can follow the steps without us having to walk them through each time.

It saves hours of training time, and we can always review the steps if we forget how to do something.

The free version limits you to recording processes in a browser, and upgrading will let you add the ability to capture steps on desktop apps. Since most of the things we use are web-based, the free version works just fine for me.
