Amazon Prime Day ends today, and here are some of my favorite gadgets and tech goodies if you haven’t been shopping yet.
Yep, these are affiliate links. I make about 1.5 Starbucks coffees a month when you purchase through my links.
Quick Links
Apple Airpods Pro 2: $149

Apple AirPods Pro 2 are my very, very favorite earphones, and they’re $100 off! I’m actually buying another pair for myself right now because I’ve run mine through the washer TWICE. They’re now (understandably) a little glitchy.
These earbuds are not only great for music and phone… they are also helpful for the hearing impaired. They’re the only Apple product that is FDA approved to be a hearing aid, and you can also use them for a basic hearing test. (Click here to see my feedback on these features.)
Oura Ring 4: $296+

If you’re into tracking your sleep, activity and life, you need the Oura Ring 4. I got it for the hubby and I for Christmas, and we use its features every single day. It has totally replaced my beloved Apple Watch. Check out my review of the Oura Ring 4 to see how much I love it.
Stream Deck Controller: $109+

The Stream Deck Controller is a little master hotkey helper that sits on your desk and makes your life easier. It hooks up to your favorite apps and software to trigger actions in a flash. I use it most for my webinar presentations because I can control sound effects, overlays and more to make my programs less webinar-ish.
I own three different sizes of these and have each programmed with different shortcuts to increase my productivity and ease my workload.
Logitech Pro Webcam: $49+

If you’re still using your computer’s built-in webcam, it’s past time to upgrade. I’ve used Logitech webcams for several years, and they’re always high quality and definitely worth the upgrade, especially when you can get them on sale.
Ring Video Doorbell: $49+

We live in the country, and I haven’t felt the need to set up a video doorbell. But the Prime Day prices were too low to resist (I got the Plus version for $79). When I get them installed, I’ll review them. But the Ring Video Doorbell gets rave reviews, so I don’t think you can go wrong — especially since the price is so low.
Amazon Echo Show (15 or 21): $299 or $399

Well shoot. My favorite gadget isn’t on sale for Prime Day (but a bundle with the Ring Doorbell Camera is). But it’s awesome, so I have to include it anyway.
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy the Echo Show. We have the 15-inch original model, and it has been improved since then. It’s in our kitchen, and it’s useful every single day. Some of the many reasons why:
- It displays my calendar at a glance.
- It includes follow-me video for calls (though I don’t make any here).
- It finds and displays recipes while I’m in the kitchen.
- I can change the screensavers so it shows art, aquariums and even fireplaces for the holidays.
- It’s a FLIPPING TV! Y’all, I didn’t even know this until I had had it for more than a year. But I can watch anything from my regular Fire TV on this device.
Drawbacks:
- It’s really sensitive, so sometimes it mis-hears something in our conversation and starts to talk. Annoying. That’s a problem with all Alexa devices, though.
- You have to either mount it on the wall or buy a stand. I used an extra monitor stand I had, so ours can swivel when we’re watching TV or following a recipe.
- I set it up to know my face (the hubby hasn’t yet), so it’s kind of too chipper when it sees me in the morning. Coffee first, please.
