Meta.ai Movie Styles are so bad

Today I stopped by the Meta.ai platform to see what new features they had released. I delighted in the image style buttons almost as much as I laughed at the newest video filters.

A digital interface displays a circular gradient icon, a menu with options like Meta.ai Movie Styles to restyle a video or upload a file or image, and a "Talk" button in the lower right corner.

Meta invited me to “Restyle a video,” so I chose a short clip from one of my latest gigs. The platform clipped it to the first 10 seconds and then gave me options for new styles.

Of course i was going to start with Robot.

A grid of six AI-edited portraits of a woman in different styles—robot, desert rave, clown, luminescent, video game, and tuxedo—showcases Meta.ai Movie Styles for a dynamic visual transformation.

Hmmm… maybe Starship?

Ok. Time to get out of the stars. Surely ballerina style would give me something cute, right?

Meta definitely has a long way to go to catch up with Gemini and ChatGPT in the video area, but the good news is that it is free. Thank goodness. I would hate to have paid for this.

Or this…

Ok. I’ll stop. After this one.
