The garage sale signs on my social media pages have been really, really good these days. And our local animal shelters’ posts are positively adorable.

I knew AI tools had to be behind the upgrades. So today I played around with ChatGPT and Gemini to create a wizard that helps you create a prompt for the perfect graphic in seconds.
First Attempt: Just me and ChatGPT
When I started experimenting, I simply asked ChatGPT to create a flyer for my Technology Therapy services, and it did an amazing job based on what it knew about me. I uploaded one of my headshots, and this was its first try. Win!

Aside from the ever-present flyaway hairs, it nailed the color scheme, details and overall look. I’ve played with the tool enough to know that when I try to tweak parts, it usually gets worse and worse, so I left the first draft as is. And I love it.
Prompt Wizard for Flyers
I wanted a tool that you can use to enter a few facts and get something usable on the first try. So Gemini and I created this. It took wayyy longer than it should have. And weird things happened to some of the graphics. But done is better than perfect, and it works overall.

Just click a few buttons and enter some text to generate your own. Here’s what I did for my favorite porch cat, Peanut Butter. Yes, I am moving sometime soon-ish, and yes, I’m looking for a place Peanut Butter can live out his life in peace. Let me know if you know someone who needs a lazy old cat to sleep on your patio furniture.

I had fun playing around with your prompt to create a invite for my husband’s 50th birthday party. Simple, easy and looks like fun! Thanks for sharing!
Beth!! I love ya and your guidance BUT the problem with AI flyers is it takes away from the individual branding. Loss of logos, fonts, colors (need to train it with a style guide) Must be careful to use it as a thought partner not as a short cut, otherwise all these AI created flyers start to look like early chat responses with em dashes everywhere. such as “I hope this finds you well.” I’m already over the AI flyers everywhere. (insert eyeroll here.) Just because I’ve played golf doesn’t mean I’m qualified to to teach a golf lesson. Just because anyone can use AI to make a flyer, doesn’t mean everyone should…rant over. LOL.
