This week I received yet another gadget that I purchased on a whim and without much thought. I’ve done this a couple three (thousand) times before.

I buy these unneeded things because I want to try them out for you, and this means that I end up with a bunch of unneeded things.

Have you ever wanted someone to walk around with you to take notes so you don’t forget all the things you said you were going to do and all the decisions that were made in your presence and all the passive aggressive asides that your mother-in-law slips into conversations?

No? Me neither. But now I can.

The Limitless Pendant is a necklace/clip that you wear to capture every conversation throughout your day. It records the audio and transcribes everything, and then you can use AI to have it create your task lists, recall your important facts, and even… not kidding… critique your parenting skills.

Yeah. Not kidding.

It’s kind of a fascinating concept, and perhaps if I was a busy mom with a thousand details hitting me from all sides, I might find it useful. But for most of us, I think it’s a little intrusive, technologically excessive, and even disturbingly invasive.

But you can decide for yourself.
